Corey joined Pura Vida in September of 2025 as an RADT Counselor in our Detox Program. Having worked at both the Orenda Center and Athena House, Corey is no stranger to the world of recovery and brought a wealth of experience and compassion to her new position. At our Detox Facility in Santa Rosa, Corey meets daily with clients, both individually and in group settings, to support their journey toward continued sobriety. Her work centers around building coping skills and relapse prevention strategies, as well as helping clients think about their next steps once detox is complete.

Corey draws on her own recovery experience to provide a level of empathy & insight that is invaluable to clients in the earliest stages of treatment. She finds purpose in being present with people during periods of hardship and showing them that a better life is not only possible, but that they are worth of it.
