Does PVRS offer Medication-Assisted treatment?

Yes, In addition to treatment, our medical doctor will evaluate each client and can prescribe the best medication for that person to support them through their transition.

Does PVRS offer detoxification?

Yes, we have a detox center which offers medically supervised detoxification.  Our detox center is staffed 24/7 by medical professionals to ensure a safe and comfortable detox for our clients.  Please feel free to call us for more information on the detoxification process.

What is Detox?

Detoxification (or detox) is the process or period of time in which one abstains from or rids the body of toxic or unhealthy substances.  With drugs and alcohol, the first week of abstinence can involve withdrawal. During withdrawal a person may need to be hospitalized to prevent seizure and possibly death.

How long does Detox typically take?

It depends on the individual, but it is recommended that a client plan on being in the detox for a minimum of 3 days, up to 7 days, all depending on the individual.

Will my insurance cover Detox and Treatment?

We work with most insurance plans and can bill them for services rendered, including detoxification services. It’s best to check with your insurance company or have us run a verification of your insurance benefits to get a much more accurate snapshot of your insurance coverage.

What is treatment like at Pura Vida Recovery Services?

Your core treatment activities will include evidence-based therapies, relapse prevention, community re-integration, group and individual therapy, art therapy, life skills workshops, mental health services, and mindfulness activities.

How long is the treatment program?

Our treatment program is typically four months but can be tailored to a client’s needs.  We offer a phased approach that is based on the initial client assessment and the client’s treatment plan.

Does PVRS offer treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders?

Yes, we are a dual-diagnosis treatment program and treat co-occurring mental health disorders when appropriate.

What is the process for getting into treatment at PVRS?

The admissions process starts when you call and speak to one of our recovery specialists who can assist you with designing a program that fits your or your loved one’s needs. We offer evidence-based therapies including CBT, Mindfulness, Trauma Informed therapy, and client-centered therapy. Treatment plans which are designed to address individual clients needs and incorporate the clients’ strengths and preferences.  We offer a large recovery community to help our clients develop the support they need to remain clean and sober for years to come.
